I want to edit my phone photos on my tablet, both are Samsung and there are some camera modes that need editing in the Samsung Gallery app.

Does anyone know how I can set it up so that the photos are synced? Both Gallery apps are syncing their photos to One Drive, but 'sync' seems to actually just be backup.

I use a Pixel phone for most pictures, but will often edit them on a Galaxy Tab A.

I use Google Photos for syncing, organisation, and editing - or share from Photos to Snapseed or the likes if necessary, which will still sync back to my Google Photos collection.

I abandoned the Samsung Gallery app at the outset just to keep things simple. Instead setting G Photos as the default app for all photo stuff.

Might be an option to consider?

Thanks, yeah, I might end up that way, the problem is modes like Portrait, where you can edit the background separately from the subject seem to only work in Gallery.

I did think I had it sorted when I realised my Samsung and Microsoft accounts weren't linked, but while that's got both devices backing up to OneDrive in the same place now, it's not visible in Gallery so still only have access to local photos to edit on the tablet. And obviously there are none of those because I don't use the phone on the tablet!

Oh. The problem is I have my photos on the SD card. In 2022. WTF.

How much free space do I have? How many photos are there....?
