desktop / user name
Discussion
This says it has a command like option -
www.thebeatlesforever.com/processtext/abctext.html
so could you use that in the login script, like:
echo %username% >username.txt
abcconvert username.txt c:windowsusername.jpg
regedt /s set_desktop_wallaper.reg
Only problem is if the script runs after the wallaper appears, the wallaper will allways show the username of the last user, not the current one. Unless they've all got home shares, then maybe you could set the wallpaper to permenantly be \serverhomes\%username%wallpaper.jpg ? Then you'd only need to create the jpg once per user and just check at login that the file exists -
if exist \serverhomes\%username%wallpaper.jpg goto :next
echo %username% >username.txt
abcconvert username.txt c:windowsusername.jpg
regedt /s set_desktop_wallaper.reg
:next
etc.
etc.
