Send email when new blog post added

I have a Wordpress website/blog I have recently put together and have used Zapier to automate a post being made on Twitter and Facebook when a new Blog Post is added to the site so people can follow for updates on social media.
I would also like to add the ability for someone to register their email address and receive an email each time a blog post is added, which would ideally contain some of the information from the blog post (eg title and link to the article).
I know I can do this with a paid MailChimp subscription, but is anyone aware of a way I can do this for free? It's going to be a small number of emails to a small number of recipients so limits are not necessarily an issue.
The only free methods I can work out so far would only allow me to send an email saying "There is a new post on xxx.co.uk, click here to access the site".

In the past, a long time ago as do not use much Wordpress any more, there was Mail Poet:
