I have been opening and printing PDF files for ages without problem but, since installing Photoshop Elements this has decided it wants to be the default program for opening this type of file.

Is there an easy way of disabling this and going back to reader?

I can save the file and open with reader from this saved one but should not have to use such a long winded method.

Cheers

If you right click a pdf file and select 'open with'

you can then choose Reader and check the box 'always use this program for these files' box.......

That's the case when saved but when attached to an email the only option on right click is open (not open with) and then no option to always do this?

Unless I am missing something?

Open the windows explorer (right click the start menu) select tools, folder options then the file types tab. Find pdf files and select the change button. Pick acrobat reader to associate the file with. and Robert is you mother's brother.
