RIP. I did not see him play as I’m too young but the video of him is astounding.
My grandad saw him live a few times and said he was worth the entrance fee on his own.

That's a great tribute.

Oh for 4k footage back in the 60's.

Even some of the footage of the likes of Ronaldinho looks decidedly shonky compared to today.

Why have the mods closed the thread in the news thread and combined it with this one? I have never ventured into the football forum before, and would have thought that the death of Pele was a bit more newsworthy than being relegated to a specific sub forum?
