Hi folks. Just bought a new telly and they threw in a Panasonic NVVP33 DVD/VCR combi player for free (i.e. this one: www.panasonic.co.uk/dvd-players/nvvp33/index.htm) Only plays Region 2 discs however.

Looked at all the ebay listings for unlock codes and none list this player.

Does anyone know of other sources / websites for unlock codes?

Cheers,
gixxer

Thanks malman. I had tried that site already with no luck. Does your last comment mean that if my player is not listed then it may well need to be chipped rather than simply requiring an unlock code (punched into the remote control before disc loading)? I don't know much about these things I'm afraid.

Cheers,

What is it that they send out? Is it a scammy type thing that is in actual fact just an inputted code?

Oh, and does anyone have any for laptop dvd players?

The stuff you can buy on ebay (for as little as 99p) is just a list of codes (different for each player), that you enter via your own remote control to unlock the region encoding. The website above seems to be selling you the hire of a "system remote" that you use to unlock the device and then send back to them.
