Surfing the net I discover my Logitech keyboard has packed up.
and refuses to type. I go to control panel and look at keyboard properties. The driver file is damaged.
I do not have the driver installation disk or operating system disk to reinstall. I sat and thought for a few minutes and then shouted eureka! Within a few minutes I had it up and running again. What did I do?

You removed the driver and Windoze auto-detected a "new" keyboard?

Wrote a completely new driver in raw hex, by using the mouse, character map and notepad?

rebooted...

...wait, did you say few minutes? Never mind, rebooting takes longer.

I assume that you're using XP and did either a) a system restore or b) driver rollback.

Well after reading all the replys I now feel a bit of a numb- scull. Bearing in mind that I am a novice with computers, my take on the situation was I needed to navigate to Logitechs website to get a new driver.
But I cannot get there because I cannot type in their address. So this is what I did.First I opened the notebook then
Picked a random website and copied and pasted single letters and dots to make up www.logitech.com. this was duly pasted into the address window and off I went
I think I should have come here first for advice but then again it may have taken me a week to copy and paste the question

in future you might find this useful:

Start->Run->osk.exe

Or, since your keyboard isn't working..

Start menu->Programs-Accesories->Accesability->On screen keyboard

You should see my system at the moment, 15 minutes to a half hour if I'm lucky!

Thanks for your ideas on my 2 probs thread, I think H.P. has a fix coming for me.
