Remote cctv options?

Hi,

I want to place two CCTV cameras well out of the wifi range of the house, they will have power but I am wondering what the options are with regard to viewing footage?

Are they going on an outbuilding? If so, is that building in line of sight from the main area?

You could install a wireless bridge kit, that will cover a good 1KM with a cheap Ubiquity Nano Beam setup which will be more than enough speed for 2 cameras

It isn't in the line of sight, there is one corner, could that be feasible and how much money are we talking about?

Eufy have a solar powered 4G camera for the complete wireless solution.

We have a ReoLink Go camera with a GiffGaff SIM card (£8 per month) at the bottom of our drive. It runs off their A4 sized PV panel and alerts my phone when there’s movement. Just doesn’t work in a shady area, but has been very reliable for the last 2 years or so

They are going to be attached to a lampost and fed power from there, I was hoping there may be cameras with a local storage facility that I can access from my phone whenever needed, without the need for a permanent live video feed?

My only question is I would only check it sporadically if something happened and don't want a continuous feed, would I only be charged date for the occasional check or would it be on all the time?

Different ones have different options. Some will be powered by electricity, others solar. Go on Amazon and see what they have

Eufy are renowned for their expensive subscriptions so worth checking these out before buying.

Do the lamp posts have permanent power available? Or is it switched?

With regard to expensive subs, eufy doesn't require any subs, you just log in to the wifi feed.

Can you share a google map image showing all the main locations and where you want cameras
