Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might be able to pick up a CPU in the City Road/Bishopsgate area of London? I've tried PC World round the corner from here but they only have Intel chips in stock and I need to get hold of a AMD Socket A processor of around the 2800 ilk. Can't think of anywhere else around here off the top of my head, any ideas? :)

Odd that, I've only been living in the area for the past 10 months and have never noticed it. Must learn to open my eyes in future.

There used to be a small incredibly expensive little shop at the Old Street Inmarsat roundabout, going north towards Angel on the RHS - (horrible little place )

Dunno if it's still ther eor not.

Only Maplin's I know in London is out Stratford way, bit of a treck on the Central line.

best

To further expose my utter ignorance about local geography it's approximately 0.2 of a mile from my front door

I guess I've never bothered walking any further than Tescos that direction.

Aww rats, looks as though a trip to TCR is in order since according to the web Bishopsgate has no stock for what I want. Oh well...
