Anyone got any recommendations. Would like something reasonably sophisticated but can't afford Webtrends.

You might laugh but that's almost what I've resorted to and it's a bit painful!

I normally guess but i suppose you could use a ruler if you need a bit more accuracy and don't mind getting it wet

I looked at awstats but it looked a bit cumbersome to install and administer. Is it worth persevering with?

I've used FastStats in the past, but use Funnel Web now - seems pretty accurate, and best of all it's free. Quite configurable too, although i've just looked at the makers web site, and it doesn't seem to be available any more.

I have the files though, so let me know if you want to give it a try.

I use "weblog expert" on all our websites.

Cheap and does the job very nicely thanks, stuff like this:

and this:

Think there is also a free version, but recall only paying 50 notes for the full one.

Ted, PM me through my profile if you want and I'll send you a link to a full report so you can peruse it - best I don't post it here.

Always found Webalizer to be a good medium between the Cheap and Nasty, and the Expensive and good.

We offer if on the VDS accounts, and people seem to like it.

Second Jamie with Webalizer, also not to difficult to modify if you can write a bit of C code.

Is this just for web server logs or do you want to monitor other logs as well?

Just web server logs. Would be good to have some custom reporting though rather than just the standard aspects. Don't mind paying for something reasonable but I can't seem to find anything between freeware and Webtrends at ££,£££.

That Analog you can plug in a opensource reporting tool that makes it prettier.
