Anybody got a Motorola Razr 40 phone?

Would quite like to get shot of my Samsung A14 as it is driving me mad (size and constantly hanging up in use). I really want a folding phone mainly for the compactness. Not much to choose from but the Motorola Razr 40 (not the Ultra) looks like a decent candidate at just under £500.
Just wondering if anyone can give me the benefit of their experiences with one of these? TIA.

I do not, but I do have the Samsung Z Flip 5, having previously had a Z Flip 4.

Folding phones definitely aren't a novelty and I won't go back as long as they're an option.

Same. It's so refreshing not carrying a surfboard about. I'm sure you'll get on with it a treat.

Only caveat I guess is slightly less good camera than the surfboards.

Yes, apparently so but I'm not bothered about that. The Razr40 Ultra has a better camera than the non-Ultra but the battery doesn't last as long and it costs £200 more to boot.

They're available in the US for $360 + 25 then cancel service. In all honesty, having had a good play with one as part of a promo, I thought it a decent phone. Screen was better than I thought it would be. I wouldn't spend 500 quid on one though; 300 is a lot more attractive.

Motorola UK's website is a bit shonky but buying one from an Amazon supplier for £10 less looked shonkier.

Yes, I bought a green one at launch ~8 months ago. It's been good so far, and the battery lasts easily all day when I'm out and about - never had it less than about 50% to be honest and that's when I'm travelling into London so using internet/playing Spotify etc, but I'm not a heavy game player on it, so your mileage may differ.

There is a slight ridge on the screen where it folds, and it never folds truly flat, but it's not a problem and a small price to pay for a small pocket sized form factor. I don't think I'll ever go to a full size phone (unless they make them foldable with a laptop sized screen )

Mine came with a little plastic clip on case which was unexpected, but Motorola don't seem to sell them separately which is a shame as I've dropped the phone a few times just because it's so slippery and small.

I'm happy so far, but I don't tend to abuse or heavily use phones, so am easily pleased.

I've just ordered a Razr 40 Ultra for £499. Seemed a bit of a bargain and the 3.6 inch external screen will be really useful.

Just got one last week, it's very good. Don't think any phone camera is as good as an iphone one, but the folding bit works very well, various gestures to do things, battery life good... not seeing any downsides yet.

£20 a month through Carphone Warehouse 24 months.

Not such a good story with my 40. After just six weeks a big black line appeared between the top and bottom main screens and the top screen stopped working altogether. Had a very unsatisfactory dialogue with Motorola UK where it transpired there is no guarantee with this phone, just a '30 day grace period' and a repair warranty. I wanted a refund as I have no faith in the product but they absolutely refused to issue one as it was 12 days outside their 'grace period'. They mended it (defective screen), wiping the phone and losing pics in the process. Have been trying to ascertain who runs the company in the UK (apparently Motorola is owned by Lenovo) but this has so far proved to be impossible as there doesn't appear to be any one responsible person in the UK.
