Ok, With no headphones plugged in the speakers work fine. With headphones plugged in only the left ear has any sound. It could be something simple but it is driving me crazy :banghead:

Could it be because they are plugged into the 5.1 surround sound system that I have for the PC?
I have tinkered with the settings but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Iffy connector would get my vote if the headphones are fine plugged into other things.

If you are plugging into one of the 6 outputs for the 5.1 system then it will only power one speaker of the two headphones.

You need to go into the headphone jack which is probably on the front of the PC.

Sounds like your jack is dodgy either on the speakers or the headphones. If the System has a jack then it should cancel out the speakers and direct all the aduio to your headphones. Have you tried different headphones or the headphones in a MP3 player or CD player?

Sorry been to Goodwood and Brands this weekend so no computer. When the headphones are put in the pc tower headphone socket, nothing at all in headphones.
When in the headphone socket on the volume controller for the speakers, only one headphone.
