Not spotted a general BF thread.

It is past the time when I should replace my faithful 2014 MBPr, so a hefty investment in the next couple of weeks could be happening…..& MrsMikeIOW has a decidedly dodgy but slightly more recent Air: the Genius Bar held little hope for it, so also up for replacement.
Trade-in didn’t look to be worth anything….

If anyone spots decent deals on a 1TB/16GB 14” Pro, and likely a decent Air - 512GB/16GB, please lob ideas here.
I’ve not yet done the research to know which chip, but I’d prefer the least obsolescence, so likely M4, I guess.

Will keep en eye on Costco, Apple, Very…

What else is anyone hunting down?

I want a Kamado Joe classic 1. A mate got one on the prime sale months ago for £500. Want that! Maybe also buy a good Stihl chainsaw

We've had our eyes on a particular Samsung 43" TV for a while and watched it gradually wobble down to £400. When it dropped to £374 a few days ago we bought it. It immediately (i.e. within minutes) increased to £390 then dropped to £374 for Black Friday.

Other than that, nothing much has excited us - or so I thought. Amazon has just delivered a 'mystery' package - which could be nice, it's my birthday tomorrow. smile

Costco doing a dji mini 4 pro with the controller with screen and a memory card for £720 seems to be the cheapest I’ve seen it.

After much agonising over a gaming laptop for my son, I bought a £799 Asus TUF 15 with Ryzen 7 processor, 16Gb RaM, 1 Tb storage and RTX4060 graphics. Other "offers" had less storage or RAM

Overkill for his use but should last. That was 20% off and a Logitech G502 Hero gaming mouse was slashed to 26 quid with 80% off.

(Both Amazon)

After a 55inch tv. Not sure there are any bargains as any offers are available everywhere.

Also after a set of blinds for the living room but prices seem 10% higher than they were a few weeks ago so they can wait.

Bought an Oral B electric toothbrush for £20 yesterday (Morrisons). Down from £60 apparently.

Came with a travel case as well which is handy.

Noticed that Hotels.com (via TopCashBack for an extra 11% wink) have some hotels on deals - we have just booked a couple for our ski trip next March.
(note Hotels.com always give 10 or 11% back for bookings 2 months ahead on TCB).

Not seen any LeShuttle deals yet....

but on transport - for anyone heading to the Isle of Wight - Red Funnel have their annual 1/3rd off deal now (book by Dec 6th).

I'll buy a Nintendo Switch OLED if there's an irresistable deal out there. Not paying £289.00 for this, but at £250.00 I would:

I need a laptop. Not dog slow like the Chromebook that I got free with my Pixel 3a 5 years ago laugh

Just need it to do my accounts in comfort, ie in the lounge or at work and look at RightMove, Autotrader and PH, of course.

I have an iMac upstairs but it's from 2011 and it's cold up there.

Two things for me (so far) but both were pre-planned as I knew there could be better discounts during this period and only one of those is from Amazon.
Tomtoc Navigator-T66 40l travel rucksack
Alpaka Elements Backpack Pro workday bag (direct from them).

I just bought a Motopower diagnostic on Amazon for under £17. It gets good reviews but doesn't do ABS, SRS etc.

As usual, you have to order £35 worth to get free shipping, annoying as I only thought of it after an £850 order so that was annoying.

Not a computer or a gadget but…

Tefal Oleo chip pan reduced from £164.99 to £89.49

I’ve love my home made chips and have had this on my watch list for some time, it’s been around £140 - £164 for a while now and I’ve never seen it this cheap. I’ve ordered it so some can give it to me first Xmas. Yes, that’s how much I love my chipssmile
