can't access login sites

Hi, hope someone can help, having trouble logging onto sites such as banking, ebay, MSN, Tesco, just comes up with 'page cannot be disdplayed. My Norton expired at about the same time, but the PC won't even let me update that.
I have changed internet settings to accept all cookies, but hasn't helped. I can surf the net ok, just anything that requires a secure log-in doesn't work. The other PC in the house seems to working fine over the wireless network.
Any ideas?

I would check IE's SSL (Secure Socket Layer) settings.
In IE:
Tools -> Internet options -> Advanced tab -> Restore Defaults.
If you have recently had a new firewall/router or have made any changes I would check to see if port 443 is blocked (this is the port that SSL uses for secure connections).
If you have a software firewall it may be worth checking that as well, a quick test would to be to disable your firewall quickly and try to log in to a secure website.
