No I don't think it's just you. Strange things happen to me too like ending up inside buildings sometimes. The last time that happened I was trying to turn a corner at a junction and ended up in an office building and was even able to move around a bit as well. Very strange.

Like if I'm on Street-View and I want to walk down the road it seems I'm often unable to get exactly where I want to be, either just before, or just after. Or I can't seem to get down the road at a speed I'd like. Either zooming miles down the street in one go, or excruciatingly slow little increments...
You have to appreciate that you are viewing a series of static 360 degree photos so you can only view from where a photo was taken.

I think Google Maps/Earth is one of the most incredible things. I use it all the time, but I often find it a frustrating experience trying to navigate around. Is it just how it is? Or is it me, or my internet speed? Like if I'm on Street-View and I want to walk down the road it seems I'm often unable to get exactly where I want to be, either just before, or just after. Or I can't seem to get down the road at a speed I'd like. Either zooming miles down the street in one go, or excruciatingly slow little increments...

Just now I'm using Google Earth. Trying to go down a nearby railway line. I've somehow got myself looking straight down at the tracks and can't get back out to be looking along the rails and going forward. It's maddening! Is it me? Or is there any shortcuts/tips and tricks to be learnt to get the most out of it?
OP, I'm just curious. Do you go back through your threads and delete your initial messages? When I view your previous topics your original posts all seem to have been deleted.

Ha, rumbled!

Yes, I do like to keep a reasonably tidy house. I hadn't considered it might affect other's use of the forum. Is there anything I can help with specifically?
So a handy reminder for everyone to quote your opening posts to enable threads to make any sense when someone might want to add to it in the future instead of starting a new one.

Isn't it all done on 'hits' rather than number of new posts?
