Alternative to MS Photos?

HI All

I was using MS photos on my PC and it started playing up, but was still useable, I went to use repair in the admin tools, not it won't load, I assume, I have now lost MS photos, I liked it, as just simple to use crop lighten etc.

I am now using windows live photo gallery, I hate it.

Anyone got a free recommendation to use instead of live gallery.

Been using it for years as a half-way house between regular paint and photoshop.

Totally free, no ads, no licenses. It really is pretty good.
