Anyone able to recommend a free iPhone app or website for editing photos, such as superimposing someone’s face onto someone else’s body, just for fun?

eg My lad has passed his driving test and I want to superimpose his face onto Max Verstappen etc.

Well, there's the free 7-day trial of Adobe Elements on the app store, but it might be overkill for what you want!

Alternatively, just search for 'Face Swap' in the app store and pick one of the hundreds offered

Bit of a learning curve getting it all installed, pretty sure you can run it on a cloudy service for tiny costs if you prefer.
