The new switch
Discussion
I'm not really seeing the Steamdeck/ROG as a direct competitor, despite the fact they look similar.
The tech, games and audience are different. Nintendo however have completely taken the "second console" marketspace, anyone I know who has a Xbox/PS/SD/ROG pretty much has a Switch as well. Not sure I know anyone who has a Switch as their one and only/primary console.
The 2 looks alright but it reminds me of the Wii/Wii U. Not enough of an upgrade to splurge the money when I already have a Switch anyway especially as a secondary console and I think much like the Wii U, after the initial fans get one it'll not live up to the heights of the original console.

Thread bump to say I bought one a couple of days ago and really like it.
Mario Kart World is great fun, but with the family membership at £60/year there is a big catalogue from SNES, N64 and Gamecube. All of which have some great games, though visually very much "of the time".
Plenty (thousands) of games to buy online though, starting at free or 89p. I've always enjoyed golf and fishing games, and just in those genres you'll find a couple of hundred.
I'll give Donkey Kong Bonanza a miss at £65, but it is getting rave reviews and I'd probably have gone for that if there were an alternative bundle.
£429 is a bit steep perhaps, but I think the original Switch was that kind of price, and I'll get hours of fun out of it, as will wifey, and if in a couple of years we want to sell it then it'll still fetch a couple of hundred quid.
