Made this move last night on my 13” M4 iPad Pro and impressed so far; the way it lets you have the pages set up is really good and nigh on like it was on my previous 15” M3 MBA

I’ve not dug into it too much yet; I’ll do that later today when I’m back from hospital

If you can do this and you’re not too reliant on your iPad (ie it’s not your main device) I’d highly recommend it

That’s really good to know. I can’t wait to install it but think I will wait a bit longer as my iPad is my main device.

Yup, I'll wait for a few iterations of the public beta before I even think about it for my phone.

Usually after the 3rd or 4th public beta it's fairly stable.

Fortunately I have my M4 Mac Mini (which I’ve decided to sell) and my M4 24GB/512GB 13” MBA that’s landed with me today (that’ll be more desk bound really)

So wanted to try/see what the iPadOS 26 was all about and so far; very impressed.

Not had any issues so far; but I’m not a power user by any means

I also have a MBA (M3) but having owned it for a year I realised it only has 6 battery cycles, which is a testament to how good the M4 iPad Pro (with magic keyboard) is. I use it all the time and only fire up the MBA when there is something the iPad can’t do (very rare). By all accounts, iOS 26 is going to make it even better!

Yup; that’s why I’ve gone for the MBA and selling the M4 Mini on as the MBA suits my needs for that side of things and have a decent desktop set up so that it’ll just plug straight into my Dell 4k monitor (same with the iPad really) - but I can use the MBA as an eReader (Kindle, magazines etc); which is where the iPad comes into its own… Plus its great for Real Racing 3 and Zombie Apocalypse hehe

I like the look of the ‘liquid glass’ on OS26 too

I'll be downloading the first public beta on my main devices. Never had any serious issues at public beta.

The change on iPad is much more radical and useful than on phones imo. For the first time, mutli-tasking on an iPad Pro makes visual sense. Not had any real issues with the developer beta, which I install to test software (if you develop for Apple and have setting screens with sliders, segmented controls and toggles, you really need to make sure they still work…)
