I fully expect a foldable phone from Apple in the next few years, won't be this September though. Personally I'd prefer a smaller flip type if they cold work the specs of the Pro into it and maintain battery life.

It'll be another incremental update to the 17.

I'm also hoping for AirPods Pro 3 which better ANC and also available in a darker colour. White gets so grubby when you're handling them all day and they also don't match my MacBook Pro/iPhone/iPad.

I've also been hovering over the buy button on the Vision Pro but have held off in case a new one comes out.

AirTag 2 has been floated, better battery life, more sensitive GPS etc, I may or may not bother with them.

I've had iOS26 and MacOS 26 since developer beta came out, the public one is available now. It really hasn't changed much.

I’ve been using the 3rd party rechargeable credit style ones - fit in your wallet much better and they are 1/3 of the cost.

They also don’t alert anyone that they’re there.

It will look like last years phone, and the year before that, and the year before that..... but cost another £50

I suspect Apple will come out with a foldable phone in two or three years, call it Apple Paper and claim they invented it whilst charging £2000.

Really struggling to understand how/where the 17 Air is going to fit in - especially if the rumours are accurate about a battery that is unlikley to last a full day (along with the aligned rumours of an new version of the magsafe battery pack to go with it).

I may consider updating my 15P but from what I have seen leaked so far, im doubtful tbh.

Why are the batteries in Apple phones so absolutely hopeless? I always buy cheap £200 Android phones and tend to keep them for four or five years, I only change them because I fancy a change. At the end of 4 years the battery is still as good as the day it was new.

Spend £1000 on an iPhone and the battery will be at 80% or less health after 18 months and not be able to go a whole day without a charge.

I just purchased a £200 Honor 400 Lite for my mother and the battery capacity is 5230mAh. A iPhone 16 Pro Max which costs £1199 has a battery capacity of 4685mAH.

As for paying another £200 for another 256GB storage rofl

Do you Apple guys not feel you are getting ripped off, or is it all OK because everyone knows Android is for poor people?

This mainly. It's the shame of failure. Like buying a Vauxhall or something. It just reeks of poverty.

It's also irrelevant in an Apple thread. I think most Apple buyers are aware there are alternative products available. Just like BMW drivers are aware of the existence of Dacia. It doesn't mean people need to hear about the new Bigster in a thread about the M5. Nobody cares.

It's because the sheeple think that Android is for poor people, when in reality you can pay more for Android than any iphone, and with Android you get more innovation and choice.

I don't get the Air either - I'm not sure anyone was asking for a thinner phone?

My 12mini is getting a bit long in the tooth and it's clear there's no point waiting for another small phone so I may upgrade to the 17 depending on price.

I got a bit disillusioned with the new Apple iPhone device releases the pass few years and just recently upgraded from a Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max to a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Loving it so far and am interested to see when Apple start releasing Flip phones as I might well come back.

The Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max will just look like the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max but just have slightly updated chips, thinner bezels, slightly increased battery, etc.

The main upgrade will be to the iOS which will move to iOS 26 and the liquid glass design.

Be great if they did something new and not just copy what androids been doing for years. Some innovation again please!

It's really not that much of an upgrade. I've been using it a while now.

The best thing about it is the answering of unknown numbers and asking who they are and what they want before letting them through.

Samsung introduced folding phones far too early. It didn’t end well, I prefer the Apple way.
