Microsoft Office - scam?

Hi,

Recently cancelled my Office subscription as I really don’t use the programmes enough but I would still like to use them occasionally.

This, from Groupon, is just over a tenner for my Mac and offers a lifetime subscription. For just use Excel and Word, is it ok? Just seems too cheap.

I don’t care about storage as I have that with Apple anyway.

It’ll be a resold volume licence probably. Bit of a grey area.

The retail version of Office 2024 for Mac is Microsoft Office Home 2024 and usually costs £115-120.

The groupon thing will probably work but I’m personally not for it. If the price seems too good to be true and all that.

Perfectly legit, I used Gamers Outlet for mine though:

Was slightly cheaper than the current £8.59 price but it’s still cheap enough!

Good price but different product. OP is looking at Office 2024 for Mac , not 2021 for Windows. I’d avoid 2021 now, only has about a year of support left.

Can you not use the standard Mac offerings (Numbers, Pages, Keynote) and export to MS formats when you need to?

Personally, I prefer the Apple products to the ste that MS calls Office 365.
