Tech going backwards pointless vent grrrr

Samsung phone...a while ago it had an app called Dex which worked nicely...could connect my phone up to my laptop and use the laptop as a screen and keyboard for the phone. Didn't need it often, but when I did it made detail impromptu work very easy.
Dex is no longer available in deference to Microsoft's Phone Link app...which is s
t in comparison. No full screen apps etc.
Volvo did "similar" - retired Sensus on the XC90 to be replaced by Google's system. Only half of the really useful functionality (including/especially steering wheel controls) didn't make the cut.
A pox on the people leading the tech side of these firms who seem to have sod all clue on how to ensure useful functionality makes it across when they're "upgrading" apps.

Dex not available? Was still using it on my Fold 6 and it's still on the Fold 7 ( though has gone backwards a bit because it's now based on Google's android desktop mode. What phone is it missing from?
Edit... just realised you're actually talking about being able to use Dex on a Windows device. One UI 8 allows that or else you need a monitor/TV and use the keyboard directly connected.

Have you been in a brand new car recently?
I rented a Nissan Juke last week and it had 1400km on the clock.
From getting in, it took 6 button presses to set off and get rid of the nanny-ing tech alarms.
6 button presses every time you wanted to go anywhere.
And there was still an alarm boing-ing for seat belt and an alarm for reversing that you couldn't turn off.
Oh and and a boing-ing alarm EVERY time you opened the boot.
