Has anyone seen any good student deals for MacBooks?

Apple give you £100 off a new one as a student, on their website.

What's it being used for? Keep in mind that the performance on all of the M chip MacBooks is really very good - so if it's word / excel and safari then an M2 (about £650) or an M3 (about £800) will likely do the job just as well - there are loads on Amazon.

Frankly I can't see why anybody would need more than an M1 for normal work. Recently bought a 16GB/1TB example in as new condition for £500 on ebay.

the macbook airs are currently cheaper (£100+ cheaper) on amazon/ john lewis, than direct from apple. i’ve been looking and close to buying a new air to replace a very old macbook pro (last model with a cd drive/ non retina!)
