Hi, we recently went on holiday with family and everyone took pics in their phone. Some of us use android and some use iphone. We are trying to share pictures with original quality /size rather than via WhatsApp. I tried setting up shared Google drive access however it seems on phones Google drive uploads are painfully slow taking hours. My android did 300 pics upload in about 30 mins.

Is there another shared storage site, ideally free that has an app and is easy to use? . None of use Microsoft 365 or one drive so not sure if it offers a free subscription or trial period?

Thanks
D

Google Photos.

One person creates a shared album and you can all add to that album.

Can be access on iPhone, Android, Web and cast to TVs etc.

Agree - Google photos.
Having said that, Drive should be fast as well.
iPhones are strange and they won't allow background upload, so you'll need to keep Google Photos open

Google Photos allows download of individual photos and multiple photos get zipped but Google Photos does not seem to allow direct file access to photographs which prevents photos being dragged and dropped to other locations/storage.

Depending on subscription Google Photos may reduce the quality.

Microsoft One Drive works best for me as the photo files are directly available on my phone and through the One Drive cloud they are sync to the One Drive Pictures folder on my computer(s) which can be dragged and dropped.

My family can use One Drive on their phones and even on iPhones and I can share folders to them which gives them access to transfer photo files etc to me and they can view the photos/files.

I'm not so clued up on One Drive and iPhone.
