For the last two nights at 21:09 an unknown network device has joined my network. I use a TPLink Deco mesh.

The mac address points to Amazon.

As far as I can see, all our devices are accounted for on the network. The amazon devices we have are blink cameras a handful of alexa’s, a fire stick and a fire tablet. The mac address on these don’t match.

Should I be worried?

You could block it, and see if anything stops working.

This will probably be an existing device doing a scheduled update check or sync, not uncommon for amazon devices to generate a random MAC.

Via the deco app you should be able to check the signal strength to it/RSSI - from that you can judge distance and work it out from there. smile

(There are some useful mobile apps that will let you map out devices via WiFi analysis and bluetooth.)
