Underwater CCTV
Discussion
Does anyone have any experience with or could recommend a CCTV ip cam that works at some pretty serious depths? Got a water well that is pushing circa 150m with a suspected collapsed pipe. Managed to rig up a standard CCTV POE camera down to 65m before hitting a 15m column of water at which point it imploded. Or is this approaching specialist territory?

Thing is if you're looking at maybe >80 metres of water the pressure is going to be pretty serious - 8bar plus - more than most drain inspection cameras or standard dive cameras would take. You're into secondary dive camera housings and that's getting expensive. Plus none of them are tethered IP cameras anyway.
If you really want an IP camera you could get a cheap one and encapsulate the whole thing in resin or a waterclear silicone. And seal the cable too.
Plus some decent lighting to go with it.

Cheers, yes that also came up in discussions and exploring that too. Found a few in the 2-300 quid mark which seem to be the right dimensions for a cheap IP cam. And this is all assuming i won't need more than the 100m IP will works to. More i think about it the more that i feel this is going to lead me to a specialist outfit with the right kit.If you really want an IP camera you could get a cheap one and encapsulate the whole thing in resin or a waterclear silicone. Out of interest, if the water level is hit at 50m (65m less 15m), why do you need to go down to 150m? Does the level vary significantly throughout the seasons?Cheers
150m is pretty deep, definitely into specialist kit. But having had some borehole experience, I doubt it will be cheap.
