If they’re going to charge you, just send it back.
For £65, You can get a reasonable enough router at Curry’s / CEX / Amazon that would be of likely far greater capability, and not hampered by the usually horrible user interface / feature restrictions of an ISP router.
I do tend to keep a few around being an IT Chap, mostly for experimentation / hoarding purposes, but I can only think of one case where a router has actually failed, and that was a bit of enterprise kit at work that was bricked by a bad firmware update.
