I've recently gotten an EV on lease, and it has an annoying feature whereby when it's charging it connects to the phone via Android Auto, so the car will be charging on the driveway and any phonecalls will default to the car.

So what I would like to do is setup a routine on my phone that turns off the bluetooth at say 10pm, and turns it back on at 6am. Amazingly this doesn't seem to be a thing I can do natively, I can't get Google Assistant to setup a routine, I can't turn off the Bluetooth via a 'mode' setup, and even IFTTT doesn't seem to have the capability.

So, does anyone have any ideas? I literally just want the Bluetooth toggled off between x & y.

Tasker used to be able to do it, but unfortunately Google seems to restrict what Tasker can do a bit more with every update.

It looks like it would still be possible, but would take some messing about: https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/1avtfrs/h...

There's no functionality in the car to turn it off at that end?

A Google search suggests it's been an issue with the car for well over a year, for whatever reason it activates Bluetooth whilst charging

My Samsung certainly seems able to do it. I can set up a custom routine to turn off Bluetooth at a given time or place. No idea if this is a Samsung thing or Android. Setting/modes- routines/routines/+
Then follow the prompts.

samsungs have some automation for android. elsewhere its a bit of a faff

i use macrodroid for turning hotstop on/off when bluetooth connects to my car. its been reliable everytime. I already done some deep level stuff to remove bloatware so dont know whats involved starting from scratch. there will be a guide out there somewhere for it
