Apple mail app problem
Discussion
Wife and I use btinternet.com email accounts among others)
She can access through their web page but that needed a password change as the webpage was initially saying her account was locked for 20 minutes - but it had been saying that for days.
We have a WiFi connection where we are (France on holiday)
Her iPad and iPhone would not show recent mails. Tried restarting but no change.
Just deleted her account from her iPhone and resetup but get the following
-deleted-
Followed (pressing OK and next) by
-deleted-
Of course We want SSL but either way it connects to BT but no messages. Just redone it and get the spinning wheel as if it is trying to connect.
Suggestions please.

Anything useful here? https://community.bt.com/t5/Webmail/Adding-BT-Mail...
The last post about the password is interesting.
I have several old BT addresses set up in Thunderbird on my laptop and some days one or other of them doesn’t work. I ignore it then next day it’s fine. BT email has always been iffy.
If you’re on holiday and browser access works OK I’d be loath to mess around too much.
BTW: You’ve posted your wife s full name and email address.

I had thought about her details and will delete now.
I also found the page about leaving BT but we (I) left BT in November 23 and it I recall seeing something about it then but it has been working fine up to this week. We are not going to pay BT £7.50/month each to keep app access to the accounts.
This is the spur to get us to drop BT altogether, I have had a Gmail account for a few years and now so does she. Will just take a little time to give everyone our alternate email addresses.
Would have helped if they had told us they were going to do it now,

Check this.

If the account works just not from your iPad/iPhone on some random Guest wifi it could just be port filtering where you are now.
