I think i have got a bug or two in the phone. I keep getting notifications.... Storage full/infected/clear all with this app etc
The question is what decent legal and honest app is there that will clear out all the rubbish and protect the phone. I have a feeling all these pop up ads will just add more junk.

Factory reset would be the first thing to try.

Before a factory reset try clearing the cache partition.

Sounds like you have installed a rogue app.

some minor questions before i start
I have an S9 that has Gmail on it. It no longer has a sim card...There is also gmail on the A13 and my laptop

I deleted an email on the S9 and the same message has been deleted on the A13 and the laptop

Luckily it was a message of no importance but the later ones are

So Will the factory reset wipe ALL my Bt emails and phone contacts and Whats app contacts as well?

If so how can i get the to a 'safe place' .......there is space on the laptop

And as regards installed apps have about a fair few, is it worth noting what these are and manually reinstalling them ( i have about 60 must haves' ) or is is possible to stare them on a factory reset S9 and then reimport them to the A13.

Hope all that makes sense

Email is generally stored online not in the phone so for gmail if you delete it on one device it will delete it on the server, therefore it wont show up anywhere anymore, you can of find the deleted email in the deleted email folder for a while after deleting it ait and restore it.

I assume BT email will work the same, you will, if doing a reset have to reset all your email settings for the BT app or whatever mail app you use. This will go for all other apps you use, you could do a backup first and restore from that when reset. This may well restore the issue you have as well, so be prepared. Or do regular backups so you avoid this situation going forward.

As above, Gmail is definitely held online, so if you delete an email you delete it from the gmail server that all devices are using.

For the BT email it is (in theory) possible that you're downloading email locally. unlikely nowadays but possible.
I would run a test - send an email from the laptop to yourself. You should see this in your inbox on all devices - which suggests its held on a server.
If only available on the A13 you *might* be downloading email to that device.

Now delete it on the A13, if its gone from all other devices it further suggests its on a server.

If you want to be double sure, send all critical emails from BT to Gmail as a backup.
