Waze. Not showing maps

This just happened to me. Looks like I have to await a software update.

Good to know. I haven’t installed the 27/5/26 update, so hasn’t affected me.

I’ll hold off until I hear the bug is fixed.

I rebooted my iPhone and it’s working again, at least for now.

This has been happening a fair bit to me, but I'm pleased that it's not just me that's affected.

So far I've only been experiencing this in the split screen view with the blank area on the right hand side and music and search on the left. I've found that if the map isn't showing on the split screen view, that I just need to tap the blank area and this opens the map up in full screen and displays it correctly. I then toggle back to the split screen view and the map is then showing correctly in that view as well.

Rebooting brought my maps back but only for one day. They ve gone again.

It's happening on the beta release too with quite a big discussion in the Waze beta group but very little noise from anyone at Waze.

As above swapping between views supposedly helps, others report that disconnecting and reconnecting Carplay sometimes sorts it, opening Google Maps and then Waze again works for some and shutting down Waze on the phone and then opening it again via the car is helpful for some people.

Android Auto is fine but obviously that doesn't help any of you.

I had this and I've also noticed that the "now playing" screen is either frozen, or one song behind on spotify at the moment too.
Hopefully will all be fixed soon.

Something else that seems to have changed recently, is the lack of an approach notification

It seems to say - 2-miles to go, turn now!

A notification at 200m, or 400m would be useful.

I am using the Carole voice, is there a better choice?

I find Thomas & Kate the most complete, although they do sometimes mess around with them. They did an update a while back that meant Kate no longer said "Turn Right", but instead "Turn Righ", which was annoying. Fixed now, I think.

Ho long has this been happening for? Not sure if it's the same thing but wife's Karoq is intermittently getting the bluey green screen when using Waze with wireless CarPlay.

Been happening for a couple of months.

I used Kate on a 200+ miles drive today. Yes, she is much better though she does not sound as perky as Carole.
