Chap at work told me Publisher is being stood down in October. Being of a certain time of life I have a lot of our advertising on Publisher that I can just change the day/date for a quick turnaround. So will the Publisher I use just become unworkable or will it just not get Microsoft support?

I think it’s going completely. Won’t be able to edit or save files.

Probably something to do with MS not being able to integrate AI into the publisher code so they’re getting rid of it.

We use it a bit at work for quickly pulling together reports with lots of images and I’ve highlighted it a few times to people but typically no one’s done anything about it so far.

If it's a standalone version of Publisher (e.g. Publisher 2021) then it will continue working.

If it's the version bundled in the Microsoft 365 for Business, then I think you're likely to lose access when they remove the app. BUT you may be able to buy the older Publisher 2021 to install and use 'forever'...albeit still unsupported and not receiving any updates.

MS probably wants you to move over to Designer and pay for AI credits.
