Printer gone rogue! Epson experts needed

Have a PC with Win 10
Also an Epson XP 6105

A week ago typed some letters and it printed out OK

Went to get the agenda an minutes typed for tonights meeting ..and it just spits out blank pagers ( except for the club logo at the top)

did all the maintenance routines and still no luck

BUT it prints out pictures perfectly

Any idea what i need to do?

Is there a hidden 'dont print any typing' key i don;t know about?

Look at reinstalling the print driver?

Use the generic PostScript driver (assuming it does PostScript)?

Did the nozzle check come back with all colours showing (and both blacks)?

Have you tried to print in greyscale (or B&W) as a test?

Is it failing to print text from all app, or just from a single app?

I have tried printing docs that i have written,including test pieces today as well as docs as downloads and all the 'black' is not being printed
The system advises that the PB cartridge is about 30% and a new black print cartridge fitted

Save to a different format,.pdf or maybe even a lossless image and see if that prints?

Unless you really need good photo prints I recommend.

Obtain large sledgehammer and smash rubbish inkjet printer to bits and throw in bin.

Purchase mid level colour laser printer and regain sanity..

I am guessing it will be a setting change in word or whatever you are using for the docs, go to print preview & have a nosey around in the settings or preferences.

Update
just to recap, put in a new black cartridge and nothing changed

Got up this morning. Put in a doc to print and ........it printed!...... trsid the other docs that fsiled to print yesterday,and all went through ok

I put it down to those things that are left unsaid...otherwise with my relationship with all things electrical will drive me mad. Put it bluntly..it doesnt like me!!
Both mobiles failed costing 115.00 to fix
The element top oven of the cooker blew up ,getting thaqt done under ins
The fridge decided to defrost on its own and then got back working properly after 2 days. managed to save rhe food with the help of friends

Over the years there have been a lot of unexplained occurences since i burnt out the motor on my Triang Locomotive!

Oh and this morning the C drive isnt showing on the laptop so i need to attend to that > God knows how that will end up..lol
