Win 11 HP Laptop C drive gone missing

As started. C drive was showing on File explorer along with the USB stick ,when installed D, and an SD card in the reader as E

C drive has now gone walkabout, but the D and E 'drives' still appear, but apart from getting to see it via the Win Key + R.. it just a temporary appearance

I have gone through the whole gamut of recommendations on google, but none seem to get it back on the LH side of file explorer.

IIRC this did also happen sometime ago, but the solution cannot be recalled, apart form it was quite an easy procedure

Any thoughts, and please beasr in mind, that once you get past very simple explanations i am lost...
