Hi

As a seller if I legitimately sent an item correctly and its tracking to destination but still yet failed to send and now gone over delivery timescale ( the buyer was overseas at time and leaving for others at address to collect for them )

Is this 100% ebay resolution, just to check I'm correct by stating this isn't for me to resolve, they should click the "item not received" and since it was simple postage ebay themselves would normally do the refund ?

I got a complaint reference following it up to RM but wasn't planning to claim it myself really, they haven't got in touch further. It should have been confirmed by Friday so is officially "lost" now I believe.

Update: Google seems to concur so going with this for now

"3. If it is "Lost" or completely stuck in transitStep 1: Check the Label Type. Check if your label says "Simple Delivery" on it.If it is Simple Delivery: Tell the buyer to open an "Item Not Received" case on eBay. Once they open it, eBay's automated system takes over, refunds the buyer out of eBay's pocket, and lets you keep your payout."

With Simple Delivery, you're not responsible for the postage - eBay are.

Your buyer needs to go through with an "Item Not Received" claim, and eBay will handle it.

Thanks as it seems. So the buyer reinforcement "give them hell" etc, can be diverted back to them, just report it as item not received.

Not refunding as I will prob end up out of pocket and then they are still refunded by ebay anyway!

Thank you
