Just wondering if such a thing exists.

Ideally something that would fit on a Keyring, could be programmed with your mobile number, and which when operated would trigger the ringtone on the Mobile.

Several options.

Life360 can do this using other devices. The operating system iOS or Android can also do this as default using the find me app for the that OS.

Assuming you are talking about a mobile phone, why on earth would you need such a thing when 'Find my iPhone' and other such GPS and direction finding features exist on modern phones and other devices.

If I lose my phone, I can open a map on any of my other devices and it will show me the exact live location of my phone, and allow me to trigger the phone to make a sound/ring, or lock it, or block it from being used by anyone who finds it. You can even set it to display a message on the screen if you want such as "This phone is lost call 07810 xxxxx for a reward if you find it" or whatever.

In fact, I can even see on the map if I have left my earphones anywhere, and exactly where they are at. Even if I accidentally drop or leave a single wireless earbud, I can see on the map where it was last detected.

With tech like that, I suspect there is little need for an additional device to find your phone.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I have no other devices to search from.

I reckon my phone's primary use is to phone my wife's phone so she knows which horizontal surface she's left it...

Google Find My
https://www.google.com/android/find/about

iCloud Find My
https://www.icloud.com/en-gb/find

And on top of that, there's any number of keyring or credit card format devices for keys, wallets, bags, and so on.

My most recent set are the rechargeable, android/apple compatible Ugreen ones, https://www.amazon.co.uk/UGREEN-FineTrack-Recharge... and there are loads of other similar ones available.
