Need a Motorola mobe phone
Discussion
My wife's 8 year old Honor 9 Lite needs replacing. I have a Motorola Edge60 Fusion. To keep my tech support simple I intend to buy her a Motorola.
I see the G56 is on the Motorola website for £160 and our budget is up to £200. She just wants to make phone calls, send/recieve texts and emails, WhatsApp, use Google and watch the occasional short video of the grandkids.
Any views on the G56 or suggestions for an alternative?

Potentially not that relevant but I've had a G35 for about 18 months, bought as a new unlocked handset for about £150 and it's been fine. Never glitches or causes any undue stress. I just use it in it's fairly basic terms. Camera is good quality too. Mine has been dropped a fair few times, screen is fractured, it's been soaked... and it's still ok. I'd have another / similar.
I've got a Motorola G75 5G which seems to be going for just under £200.
More than happy with it, it seems to do more or less all the high end phones do.
It's got two party tricks some other phones don't have:
1. Give it a shake & the torch comes one. Goes off with snother shake;
2. Updates promised to 2030.
I'd certainly recommend & will probably put the latest version at the top of my buy list when the time comes to replace. It also accepts an sd card so the main memory can be supplemented.

I have a g85, had it for a while after owning 2 earlier moto phones. I tend to keep them about 3 years. The wife has a g32. Never had an issue with Moto stuff. They are not quite vanilla android but far less bloat than most. Mine does everything I need, and I cant see what more expensive hardware would give me.
