ink reservoir printers
Discussion
we're going to be doing quite a lot more printing for our small business, and are now ripping through ink cartridges on our HP printer at £100 per set. it's graphics heavy so it needs to be inkjet really, so how good are the ink reservoir printers if good quality ink is used?
don't want to hack the existing printer with a continuous supply thingy.

I would question why you feel it should be ink jet
Current laser colour is what 90% of the worlds "printers" use - Its much cheap per page and the quality is as good if not better
The ink tank printers are cheaper to run if you really do want to stick with liquid ink
got a laser printer and the quality isn;t there. m478f-9f . Current laser colour is what 90% of the worlds "printers" use - Its much cheap per page and the quality is as good if not better

quality seems much better on inkjet with glossy paper
Is it 'high' volume inkjet you need, or high quality inkjet? Do you need a multi-function device or just print?
I have 2 (in different locations) Epson EcoTank printers that replaced older Epson cartridge printers as they wore out (both were around 10 years old):
For a more office-oriented option, the WorkForce Pro is a decent multi-function option, and relatively good value at the moment...but the (large) ink refill packs are expensive (£50-£150 depending on the size). The consumer-level options (ET2920, 2921, 2926, 2927, etc.) using EcoTank bottles are much cheaper (£15/bottle) as long as you don't mind refilling the reservoirs yourself (it's not messy as the bottle clips onto the top of the reservoir). Those models listed are all print/scan/copy models.

- Epson EcoTank ET-8550 (2025) - upto A3 for photos, birthday cards, general printing; CMYK +photo black +grey
- Epson EcoTank ET-2756 (2021) - A4 document printer/photocopier/basic scanner; CMYK, scan, copy, print

got 2 MFDs so not that bothered about anything but printing. A4 is max sized. what we do is very colour saturated though, and chews through cartridges way before the estimate. good quality needed, but doesn't have to be perfect. was looking at the ET-2927I have 2 (in different locations) Epson EcoTank printers that replaced older Epson cartridge printers as they wore out (both were around 10 years old):
