MS Office will not run - Help!

A colleague of mine cannot get into any Office programs - all screens are frozen on Word/Excel/Publisher etc. She cannot uninstall the programs (with a view to re-insttalling). Norton Anti Virus has been run and has not found anything.

Can anybody suggest a solution?

yep! download openoffice.

Is it def. all programs, not just word or excel or outlook?

Depending what version it is, try getting into word by typing 'winword /safe' into start/run. Then go to help and 'Detect and Repair'.

Failing that, rather than trying to uninstall first, just plop the CD in and try installing over the top.
