Any SourceSafe experts?
Discussion
I'm hoping the collective can help me with a real silly niggle in MS SourceSafe.
Following a recent revamp of our network, we have new network usernames. I've edited the SourceSafe usernames to match the new network logins and, for the most part, this has worked just fine.
The only problem is (typically) with my own login - VSS refuses to "remember" my new username, so won't log me in automatically & I have to delete my old username from the dialog and re-type the new one every time. Its a minor issue I know but its starting to get on my nerves!
To reiterate, I've changed all the user accounts in the same manner and its only mine that's playing up.
I've checked all the settings I can find in VSS (both the Admin tool and the user front-end) and searched the registry for clues but to no avail.
Anyone got any bright ideas?
TIA

You'll probably need to modify your ss.ini file, I would imagine.
SourseSafe uses ini files and has one per user, so you will find it in the appropriate user folder of the machine on which the server side of SS runs.
There is also a global ini file for each repository - you may need to look in there too.

Been there, done that! No joy...
