Any thoughts guys? Writing a full 4.7Gig DVD at 4 x speed used to be fine buffer 95-100% throughout the session.. but now it's dropping way way down & taking ages. HD not full or badly fragmented. Do these unit need calibrating now & again?
cheers

Using a different brand of media? or a new batch or is it the stuff you've always used.

New anitvirus software scanning all the files going to DVD etc?

Using some reliable t&t'd media. Switched off ADSL box & disabled AVG anti virus and Kerio firewall & had another burn but just as bad. Ran task manager & CPU being hit really hard over & over every 20 secs seems to coincide with the buffer struggling.

Gawd knows might be just best to try a replacement unit as they're so cheap now
