DVD Region encoding on PC

Dammit!

Without really checking what I was doing, played a DVD movie in the laptop last night that was a Region 1 disk. Now its telling me I can't watch any other region disks because I've accepted that I've "permanently changed the region", presumably from Europe to US. What in blazes can I do about this?

InterwinVideoDVD is the app if that makes a blind bit of difference
