MSN alternatives

Are there any alternatives to MSN as work have banned it because of the virus problem (?). I need something to talk to people who are using MSN and something that isn't prone to transmitting viruses.

theres lots of sites like msnanywhere.net that tend to get round most peoples systems if u really wanna do something other than pistonheads!

hahahah i Have just blocked MSN for everyone at work, along with hotmail...i can still access myself of course...
hey, it wasnt my idea--it was the power above!

if people didnt abuse the privalege etc etc then it wouldnt be getting banned.
