Probably a simple one for most of the folks on here.

Loaded Windows XP onto my system the overnight and now i cant
get access to Internet Explorer, keep getting page can't be
found error.

I have Norton Firewall & Antivirus and i thought it was going to
be simply that XP had loaded Windows Firewall but i made sure that
wasn't active with no difference.
When i disable Norton Firewall i can access okay, any ideas i don't
like being connected with no firewall up.

regards Jim

Yeah, drag Notron by its testicles from you PC, haul it up the stairs, open the window and drop kick it into your next door neighbours garden, where hopefully it will die a long painful death due to the current arctic conditions.

Then go download Zone Alarm and use that instead.

Should sort your problems.

Seconded!

Personally, I would also suggest using some other anti virus prog than Norton (I know a couple of people that have supposedly had the latest virus defs installed that have suffered from viruses!)

Norton definitely. ZA sucks! It's all a matter of opinions

Having - even before seeeing the PC - diagnosed the problem by asking whether they had the above, removed it and lo and behold...

Ah the joys of marketing and having a 'reputable' brand name...
