IIRC in order to use MS themes you have to be saving it to a properly configured sharepoint/frontpage extensions enabled IIS. Is your website frontpage extensions friendly?

you could also try Netfusion 9 this is an easy to use product also
as stated above whoever you host with must support frontpage extensions as part of their package

I use frontpage (for my sins)host has to have frontpage extensions loaded. I dont use themes it confuses everything.I just use frames ![]()
TBH if i was starting over id use something else as frontpage tends not to merge with other formating codes so easily
FWIW, google DIV tags. Frames are kind of crap compare with what you can do with DIV, SPAN and some nice CSS. Just MHO. I used to be a "frames" person as well...

WTF

I use emacs, it has html modes available, which amount to syntax highlighting (they way I use emacs anyway). Emacs is free as well as gratis, not sure if there's an MS Windows option though. The W3 used to supply a (quite horrible) html editor too - it's much better than FrontPage, but not necessarily good in isolation...
If you can use MacOSx and/or a BSD or Linux box, grab bluefish, it seems to be quite niiiiiiice. I play with it now.

I know that there is a route to GNU CPP for windows through DJ Delorie's site. GNU, EMACS and GPP are kind of in the same bag in my mind. There may be a way to a WIN32 version of EMACS that way.
If interested Google DJGPP and/or DJ Delorie.

yup could always do it in word and save as HTML page
NO NO NO NO NO!!! (No!)
Word is utterly rubbish at outputting decent HTML. You will get overweight, messy, non-compliant code.
Dreamweaver MX is great albeit fairly complex. However you will produce much better sites by getting to grips with good, structured XHTML and CSS, which you can easily and quickly hand-code with notepad.

As an addendum - anything decent that is free?
I'm not going into webdev for a career, just knocking a couple of pages together!
Out of interest Microsoft are giving away Visual Studio (Express...) free at the moment. You can have ALL their languages, a database, web authoring tools, the whole shebang free, gratis and for nothing.
Of course...I'm sure one will soon find that some important feature is only available in the paid-for version on every project one does...but its got to be worth a look for some "home" software/web creation. Given that its FREE!
I've had a look at nvu - www.nvu.com/ in the past & it looks pretty good for a free wysiwyg editor.
