Outlook 2002 - possible problems?
Discussion
I seem to be having problems with Outlook 2002 at the moment - behaving oddly (suddenly falls over / locks up & may take up to an hour to do a send & receive.
Is this down to the large number of messages in my Inbox (over 5500) and what can I do to help it if it is, as I need those emails to be archived & referred to regularly. Or is it something else? I run SpamBayes in there as well.
All help gratefully received. (I do need to use Outlook as its syncs so well with my phone as well!)
Thanks
Chris

I inflict Outlook 2002 on myself daily; it's a necessary evil in my working day.
I do two things to avoid its idiocy (a favourite trick is to declare that there's insufficient memory to display all the cells. What? Cells? This is email, not a spreadsheet! And there's a gigabyte of RAM in this computer, you stupid idiot program!):
1. Archive weekly.
2. Use Google Desktop Search to index the archive, as Outlook's searching is, frankly, pants.
