help with sonic please

Sonic has started to misbehave .... telling me I have a read error when trying to copy any disc, but when i come out of sonic my pc doesnt recognise any disc of any media type atall ?

restart pc and it can read discs as normal ?


whats wrong ? how do i fix it ?


suggestions please ( dont want to use system restore as it takes me back to a point with tons of work to get back to where i am )

try downloading the trial version of nero (www.ahead.de) and then you will know if it is the software, or the dvd at fault..

also have you tried another brand of media?
