Changing file formats.

I have some sound files on my PC that are .asp auto files. Is it possible to change the file format to something like a .mid file so Windows media player can play it and I can upload them to my phone via a USB cable?

I don't know what format .asp is, they are usually Active Server Pages, did you save them from a web site? Anyway, you can't convert them to midi (.mid) because that format essentially just stores them as musical notes ( A A B C etc) rather than in a full "wave" audio format.
