have got a linksys wireless router at home now and am trying to get checkpoint VPN software working over it as since i have put it in i can't connect to office,
have done usual stuff enabled ipsec and using udp request but still no joy ,

the unit will retrieve the encryption key when you first install the software but won't connect i can only assume it can't do 2 way authentication , anyone got the same setup that works

What did you have before, when it worked?

IPsec doesn't play nicely with NAT. Have you got TCP header encryption turned on? It should be off...

The Linkssys software is notoriously buggy too. Individual Port Forwarding simply does not work on some releases. Port Range forwarding does though so you can always use that...

We couldn't get a VPN to work over it at all. Remote Access *did* work for some reason so we actually just use that.

I.ve got a Linksys WAG54G and just enabled IPSec Pass-Through and my cisco VPN software worked first time.

Linksys kit does seem to be pretty buggy though so you could try upgrading the firmware. Have a look at ftp://ftp.linksys.com/international/firmware/ to see if there is a newer version available for your router.
