Ok, not exactly computer related but just thought I'd ask incase anyone knows.

If I bought a cheapish, relatively basic LCD TV here in the UK, do you think it would work in Holland too? I'm considering moving there sometime later this year perhaps, and just wondered if they used the same ariel system and freqencies etc. I did a quick google but couldn't see anything straight away, so thought I would ask here before searching again tonight.

Thanks in advance,

Dan.

You may have problems with the sound, altough there may be a set up tweak to say which country you are in.

Looks like the vision will be OK (25fps PAL) but the sound won't be (the sound subcarrier
offset is different.)

Ahhh, thats great, thank you both for the responses. Thats just the information I need. Probably best to wait until I invest any money then. Its not that TV's cost much to buy, its just that I hate chucking good stuff out shortly after buying it.

Thanks again.

You should be able to get sky over there, just make sure you use a uk PAL standard box.
